Forest Adventure Center Füssen-Ziegelwies
Between the wild rushing Lech River and the impressive mountain ranges of the Allgäu Alps, you can be enchanted by the beautiful nature at the Forest Adventure Center Ziegelwies. The Forest Adventure Center is located just a 20-minute walk from the historical center of Füssen, right on the border between Germany and Austria. There, on the other side of the Lech, you will be greeted by a stunning nature experience!
At the floodplain path, an exciting jungle adventure awaits you. With a steep slide, you descend onto a path that leads you through the thicket. Take the raft across the stream and swing over the water. Can you unravel the secrets that await you along the way?
The mountain forest path offers a more leisurely experience. Here, you will find a whimsical playground with a climbing net among the trees and giant swings. Learn more about the many inhabitants of the forest here.
A highlight of the Forest Adventure Center is the treetop walk. High above the ground, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the turquoise Lech River and the surrounding Alps from a bird's-eye perspective - and in the process, cross a national border!
The main building also features the permanent exhibition 'My Forest' and other exhibitions, like a geology room!
The Forest Adventure Center Ziegelwies combines playful learning with unforgettable nature experiences. An absolute recommendation, and it is easily accessible with a stroller. Here you can spend several hours in nature and learn a lot about the environment around Füssen.

Lechfall in Füssen
You simply must see the beautiful Lechfall in Füssen. With a height of twelve meters and crystal-clear, turquoise water, Lechfall is a highlight. The waterfall is easily accessible on foot from the nearby parking area or a 10-minute walk from the old town of Füssen. Thus, it's ideal for families.
The path to Lechfall is well-marked, which makes navigation easier. A visit here can be perfectly combined with a walk in the surrounding area. Especially when the meltwater rushes down from the mountains in spring, I highly recommend a visit.
Skate and Bike Park in Füssen
Are you looking for THE place where kids and teenagers meet in Füssen when the weather is dry? That is undoubtedly the Skate and Bike Park in Sportpark Füssen. In my opinion, truly the best investment the city could make, as there's something for everyone here!
A large pump track, a jump line, a ramp, as well as a bowl and various obstacles are sure to thrill skateboarders and bikers. For the smallest, there is a mini pump track. Whether with a bike, scooter, skateboard, inline skates, or balance bike - everyone is guaranteed to find something here.
A playground, table tennis tables, and seating areas are also available. The youth center in Füssen also runs a small kiosk with drinks and ice cream.
Ideal for all little and big skaters who need to really let off steam before going to dreamland: The park is equipped with floodlights.

Children aged 3 and older may participate in the sliding fun when accompanied by an adult; solo rides are allowed from age 8. You will slide down 760 meters through sharp curves.
Right next to it, there is a nice playground as well as a cozy beer garden and a wading pool. The perfect way to end a lovely day after a nice hike to the nearby huts (such as Rohrkopfhütte and Drehhütte) and mountains.

Museum of the Bavarian Kings in Hohenschwangau
Instead of a tour at the usually very crowded Neuschwanstein Castle, I recommend visiting the Museum of the Bavarian Kings, located directly by Hohenschwangau Castle and Lake Alpsee and the beautiful Ameron hotel. Here, adults and children can dive into the time of the Bavarian kings. Little guests can meet Alois, the lion with a blue mane. He will lead an interactive tour through the museum, answering important questions, such as whether kings have last names or what princes actually play.
- Prices: Children up to 18 years old have free admission. Visits without guided tours €14.
- Public guided tours €19. (In July, August, and September, every Monday at 11:00 AM)
- Opening Hours: Daily 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

High Ropes Course at FOC Outlet-Center Füssen
The go-to tip for rainy weather: Visit the large indoor and outdoor climbing park at FOC Outlet Füssen. Alongside the outlet center for sports and leisure brand articles, you will find climbing fun for the whole family here. Regardless of the weather, you can climb on nearly 60 beautifully designed and exciting climbing elements. To top it off, a 230-meter-long flying fox offers pure action! Here, children from a height of 130 cm can climb. Safety systems allow for independent, safe climbing. The high ropes course is open year-round from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Highline 179 Suspension Bridge
A trip to neighboring Austria, just a few kilometers past the border, specifically to Ehrenberg Castle World and the associated suspension bridge highline179 is always worth it. Anyone daring to step onto the 114-meter-high suspension bridge will be rewarded with a breathtaking 360-degree panorama. You gaze upon impressive mountain worlds as well as the Ehrenberg ruins and Fort Claudia.
The over 400-meter-long bridge is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. I recommend watching the spectacular sunset from the suspension bridge. A beautiful experience!
Highline179 is accessible on foot from the parking area via a pleasant forest walk in just about 20 minutes. Thanks to the EhrenbergLiner, the suspension bridge is also accessible for those with mobility issues.
Strollers are not allowed on the bridge, but you can leave them before crossing.
By the way - the bridge is recognized in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world, built in Tibetan style.

Allgäu Reptile Zoo - Ideal for Rainy Days
A visit to the Allgäu Reptile Zoo is a must for all animal lovers. The zoo is located at Mühlbachgasse 10 in Füssen in Magnuspark and even offers free parking - ideal for a stress-free family outing.
Especially in bad weather, the Reptile Zoo is an excellent excursion destination. The educational experiences at the zoo will keep boredom at bay and offer kids an exciting opportunity to learn more about the world of reptiles.
The variety of animals and the lovingly designed enclosures make the Reptile Zoo a special experience. Here visitors can observe exotic animals up close and be enchanted by their beauty and uniqueness.
